Community Leader Endorsement for Heather Bryant and Tammy Brown

October 22, 2025

Mount Kisco

Early voting begins Saturday, October 25 through Nov 2nd at the Mount Kisco Library. On Election Day, Tuesday, November 4, you’ll vote at your assigned polling place. Here’s why it’s so important to make your voice heard.

There are two new candidates running for Town Trustee — Tammy Brown and Heather Bryant — and they deserve your vote.

If you were concerned when the Recreation Committee arbitrarily denied a permit for our Jewish community to hold a peaceful Rosh Hashanah gathering—an event that had been approved for several years prior, and if you were disappointed that the Village Trustees initially upheld that decision until they were advised by attorneys that it was a mistake and a poor reflection on Mount Kisco, vote for Tammy and Heather. They support our Jewish community.

If you’re troubled that some of our neighbors struggle with alcoholism and spend time in our parks, and you question how a new bill banning sealed containers in public places offers more than a superficial fix to a complex issue, vote for Tammy and Heather. They both support the county PD enforcing the many laws we already have on the books in this area. They understand that what’s needed is a coordinated task force involving social services and outreach—not empty bans. They care about our town and the people who live here.

If you believe in the value of a Community Task Force—people who successfully connect our schools, library, and public spaces with needed resources—and you want solutions, vote for Tammy and Heather. They support creating a task force of social service professionals, County PD and our Courts to address community needs effectively.

If you’re questioning why the VIP candidates chose to raise parking fees despite strong opposition from local businesses, residents, and Chamber of Commerce members, vote for Tammy and Heather. They stand with our small businesses.

Many of us worked hard on the Complete Streets initiative, gathering community input to make our town safer for pedestrians. If you’re wondering why some current Trustees voted against Complete Streets and the state grant that would have helped to fund it, vote for Tammy and Heather. They support pedestrian safety and common-sense planning.

And as for the VIP candidates’ signs claiming they’ll “protect single-family zoning”—that’s simply misleading. Zoning changes aren’t on the ballot, and there’s no proposal to alter them. It’s an attempt to invent an issue where none exists.

This election isn’t about party labels. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a Democrat or a Republican or non-affiliated—we’re one town, and it’s everyone’s town.

Vote for Tammy Brown and Heather Bryant. They listen. They care. They represent Mount Kisco.

Sincerely,

Barbara Steckel
