Today, we mourn the passing of Jesse Jackson — a towering voice for justice and equality in America. Jackson challenged this country to expand opportunity, defend voting rights, and live up to its highest ideals. He reminded us that progress does not happen on its own — it requires courage, persistence, and people willing to demand a more just nation.

Today, the Mount Kisco Democratic Committee celebrates the birthday of Frederick Douglass, born on this day in 1818. Douglass was a formerly enslaved man who became one of the most powerful voices for abolition, equality, and human dignity in American history. His words continue to resonate in our difficult times: “Power concedes nothing without a demand.”

Yesterday evening, February 12, 2026, the Mount Kisco Democratic Committee met with candidates for New York Congressional District 17, Beth Davidson and Cait Conley.
