Today, the Mount Kisco Democratic Committee celebrates the birthday of Frederick Douglass, born on this day in 1818. Douglass was a formerly enslaved man who became one of the most powerful voices for abolition, equality, and human dignity in American history. Yesterday evening, February 12, 2026, the Mount Kisco Democratic Committee met with candidates for New York Congressional District 17, Beth Davidson and Cait Conley.
