Mount Kisco Democrats Rally in Support of Trustee Candidates Tammy Brown and Heather Bryant, and Town Justice Tony Markus

September 21, 2025

Mount Kisco, NY — On Saturday, September 20th, the Mount Kisco Democratic Committee hosted a Campaign Kickoff and Canvass event to show strong support for Trustee candidates Tammy Brown and Heather Bryant, along with Town Justice Tony Markus, ahead of the upcoming November 4, 2025, election

After two years of regressive and ineffectual governance from the Mount Kisco Village Inclusive Party, Mount Kisco Democrats are banding together to secure two more seats in the upcoming election on November 4th.

The rally brought together over 30 neighbors, supporters, and local leaders to highlight the vision and dedication of these candidates to the future of Mount Kisco.

Tammy Brown is a longtime Mount Kisco resident and proud Cornell graduate. Tammy holds a law degree from Rutgers. For over 20 years, she’s been a dedicated union lawyer in NYC, advocating for workers’ rights and social justice.

Heather Bryant, a four-year Mount Kisco resident, is President of the Public Library Board, and an active MKESA Parent. Heather holds a Master's in Public Administration from Baruch College. She’s running for Village Trustee to ensure a vibrant, walkable town for all.

Tony Markus, former Deputy Mayor and Trustee, is running for Town Justice. Markus has held the position since 2021. He is also a senior associate at the law office of Markus and Sheridan. Tony has administered justice quickly and fairly during his tenure as judge and will continue to do so when re-elected.

The event featured brief remarks from the candidates, opportunities for community members to connect, and information about how residents can get involved leading up to Election Day. The committee thanks Mimi’s Coffee for providing coffee and pastries for attendees.

The event was an overwhelming success. Thanks to the canvassers, we knocked over 300 doors and spoke to over 500 residents of Mount Kisco. Our special guests included County Executive Ken Jenkins and County Legislator Erika Pierce who are running for re-election this year as well. The results were clear: Mount Kisco is ready for change. Tammy and Heather are ready to step up and lead from the front.
